Memories with the god

My passion for cricket has been right after someone gifted a plastic cricket bat on my first day.
My parents say i started holding that bat and started posing like batsman. Being in joint family it did not take longer to start playing, watching  my cousins do that all time.
I recollect, first time i heard his name when India was playing South Africa in 1994 at home n how Alan Donald used to bowl those yorkers running down the pitch. I remember watching Sachin bat against him then and scoring those runs.
Then come World Cup, 1996. How can i forget that time, it was home series for India and Sachin  as at his best then. Team was making well against Pakistan, beaten Australia at Mumbai with Sachin  ancing down the pitch and taking on Shane Warne. Oh my god, those were  moments to watch, i started falling in love with game. Cricket has been the only love lasted in life so. I remember, when how entire family were scolding when Srilanka put target of 250 in Semi final and then masterio provided quick start to small total.
All of sudden came the moment, he came down the pitch, missed the ball and stumped out by Kaluwitharana.
I could not realize for a moment what exactly happened, as my grandpa switched off Television set, my cousins uncle went out of room and everyone started abusing to no one. What the fuck did happen, it was just 150 odd runs needed, you have all 8 wickets and so many overs left, how are you upset, i asked my cousin. "Its over Tejas, the game is over, we lost the world cup", muttered my cousin. I started rediscovering his greatness and for the first time i realized what Sachin's wicket meant for our team. 120/8 and game over. that was bad memory to start of my love for him, but there are no looking back after that with those classic cover and straight drives

And he calls it a day...

Sachin - A phenomenon:
No words can ever describe the amount of joy i experienced as a teenager while watching him bat.
I used to literally scream n shout n jump with joy whenever he hit a shot, let be that gorgeous straight drive, or glancing flick, or back-foot cover drive !!
It's not like as if cricket has ended, it will be there forever!
But perhaps, it will be humanly impossible for anyone to rule the 22 yards for 24 long years!
The Hero of our teenage who taught us to fight against odds;
who showed us how to make your critics hear the sound of your silence!
Yes, it's disappointing when our hero fails and we may say that my Sachin is over, but in reality, it's our own frustration to see our hero slowly fade!
It's appropriate that he has written his own script, that too at Wankhede!
Farewell to the Genius, the Emperor of the 22 yards!
God-Worshiper, Idol-Follower, client-Attorney !

The conversation..

That afternoon, was in office, stuck up in some issues..
Suddenly phone rang, i was not in any mood to talk to any one, could not pick up until last ring..
Somehow started with a rude Hello but no one responded..
I was feeling like cursing in more anger, but the silent sounded more deeper..
It was reminding me of the text received last week..
Suddenly felt that she was somewhere around me, I lost my mind for a minute and..
Then recovered and was about to end the call then heard "How are you?"..
Those three  words spoke everything, mind started running behind memories..
Taken me to those days where she was the queen and i was the king..
The day i left everything and kept the tears in her eyes..
Now it started flowing through my eyes..
Soon realized that i was in office, started walking out of that place..
We both were not able to speak out anything..
Only breaths were speaking, balancing the minds...
Tears were flowing on cheeks, rewinding each memory we lived..
So many questions came out and waited on lips..
Lips started shivering and i was mute...
It was so quiet and her earring were making sound, trying to stop my tears..
Summing up the about all the moments living out there..
All those incomplete stories stood up front..
Behind those there was she, her uncleared image...
I tried to clear up the sight, but my eyes went into the complex illusion..
Coming back to into reality, I could not dare to mutter anything...
kept aside those thousands of why's,  "I am fine" i muttered..
Smile over lips drinching in her tears..
And we stopped our conversation at very moment..

Incomplete....

Some stories end happily,
Some meet a sad end...
While some stories are lost in the midst of time
For reasons unknown they are assumed to be ended..
But true fact is they are left Incomplete....
Believe me...
They are very painful, yet the most beautiful ones !!

T20 is T20 but Test Cricket is Test Cricket

Yes people want to watch more T20, they enjoy IPL, Cricket has become a business than a sport. IPL, the biggest brand of the Century has changed the views and eventually change the game. Some people thought about two innings for 20-20 in each game will give more thrill.

This is a great idea. Cricket should not only be entertainment for idle spectators, but players should be given a chance to make up to their mistakes. Two innings would be great for this, and, would also create new interesting strategies of playing the game, as well.Teams need the opportunity to "come back" in a game.

It's always hard to figure out how these proposed variations would actually work out if put into practice, but with that said, what would you think of a variation to the 20-20 format where one side bats for ten overs, the other team bats for twenty, and then the first team resumes where they left off and bats the last ten overs? Could also be done in ODIs, I suppose. Might lead to some interesting strategy. The team batting second would have the advantage of batting continuously, but the team with the split innings would perhaps be more in control of the flow of the game... an idea.

To shake it up just a little... How about your batting order has to be Reversed in the second innings? So your number 6 or 7 won't get two balls to swing wildly at.. you'll need to gamble with your openers (long time at crease, but little chance in second innings), and your bowlers would either need to go out swinging at the top of the order, or get put in the middle and hopefully hidden. The tactical implications are mind-boggling. Also, bowlers get 8 overs in the match, but you can use them at any time over the two innings - all 8 in one innings if you like.

But i believe those are poor ideas. These inventing formats will please both public and businessmen, but it is not going to happen.A test cricket fan will never be satisfied watching a "split innings odi", as it  lacks so many things that test match provide. Test cricket may die but there will never be an alternate for it.

A major problem of four innings ODIs is what would happen in one-sided matches. If after the first two innings one side has a significant lead then in all likelihood the last two innings are going to be a procession, and the 4th innings could become a joke in many cases. This is not the case in the longer form of the game, which swings far more in any case always has the prospect of the side batting last hanging on for a draw. This does not and cannot happen in ODI. A single innings approach over two or three days using a modified Test/ODI format may survive until that too become unsustainable. Many fans just don't have the luxury to spend five days watching a single game.

The biggest thrill of the T20 is that no one can predict the end result.

But just because tomato is a fruit you can't add it in a fruit salad.

Death is truth...

As deaths have accumulated I have begun to think of life and death as a set of balance scales.
When one is young, the scale is heavily tipped toward the living.
With the first death, the first consciousness of death, the counter scale begins to fall.
Death by death, the scales shift weight until what was unthinkable becomes merely a matter of
gravity and the fall into death becomes an easy step.

I want to spend my whole life with you.

I thought about you yesterday and the day before that too
for every day good or bad you'll always be in my head
I hope you've understood everything I’ve said
this isn't just a joke or a silly lie
I’d never do anything to make you wanna cry
I’m sorry if I do something to make you really mad
it only comes back and makes me really sad
I really do love you and everything you are
I hope this relationship gets really far
I’ll never get you out I simply don't know how
in fact I’m thinking of you right about now
you’re everything I need and everything to me
you know exactly who you are and what you want to be
you always make me smile just by being there
I hope you know how much I really do care...
every time I think of you my stomach seems to twist..
This is why I love you, I’ve made a huge list ...
the list goes on forever and never will it end ...
neither will our relationship... you'll always be my friend
not just a simple friend but a special friend at that
I want to spend my whole life with you....

Where is mine...??

He goes through each day with a smile on his face..
holds himself well with much poise and grace..
He laughs and he smiles, he seems so happy and free but deep deep inside
there's something that no one can see...
He must have had everything, but full with grief is the song that he sings..
His laughter is just the way to hide all tears that he had cried..
time after time he watches every happy ending, wondering where is mine...??

The confinements of Dreamweaver Templates

The out of the box Dreamweaver Templating is being headache for the developer. (still has been used  widely )..argggg....

I Started working with this templating and was frustrated later on after being faced up with drawbacks and limitations of  DWT’s. Here we go with few...

Rigidity :
I wanted to format the Date, end up writing TBB to handle it.

Conditional Statements :
Yep, there is IF but unfortunately there is  no ELSE statement. (and I am not Lying....)
You have to write TemplateIf multiple times using negation.

TemplateRepeatIndex :
We can not get the outer TemplateRepeatIndex value while looping through Components array or Fields

Nested Repeat Regions :
Most of the time you want to use fields from Outer loop inside inner loop (a big NO...!!! U can not do that)
Accessing fields from an outer repeat region is impossible.

ComponentLink Fields :
We just can’t access the fields of a Component from a ComponentLink field. Again end up either having a TBB that pushes these values to the package, or by use  Dreamweaver Get Extensions.

and i started liking Compound Templating...oh yeah !!!!!

Brilliant students of class...

Once upon a time, there were five brilliant students in a class of a boys' school.
1. An absolute genius, who topped every course by the sheer force of his talent, hard work and commitment. He also took part in dramas, debates etc. and earned a lot of fame. He was an all round student.
2. The class bully, or 'dada'. In the inter-school fights, he would rally his troups and exhort them to fight till they won. He transformed his school, which till then was full of docile students, into one of outspoken fighters who could do a bit more than just study and get marks for themselves.
3. The most studious, most good boy in the class who ate on time, slept on time and woke up on time every morning. He was the darling of every teacher as they could get anything done from him as long as it was in the interest of the school.
4. The loner, who would sit in a corner, bored with all that was happening around him, occasionally writing a poem or two, and humming a beautiful tune to himself. Only when the toughest of courses came would he wake up, and lo and behold, would top them by his sheer artistry.
5. The mastmaula bully who was a very strong fighter. He would beat up any boy, however well trained in foreign martial arts, by the dint of his desi methods. He would also apply the same methods to courses and would at times crack the most difficult of courses by the most desi of methods. Not very studious, but brilliant nevertheless.
A group of students so brilliant never had been in a school before them, and never came after them

Let it go...

Someone said...

"Wallets are a lot like girls. You really have to take good care of, because if you won't, something might happen"...

I know what he means. I just lost a wallet, and I just lost a girl. You know, it's the exact same thing. One day, you just realize it's gone. You try to look for it everywhere, even going back to the places where you could have lost it. You think, and you think hard, only to come upon a grim realization: it's really gone.

Of course, you can hold on to some hope. After all, there have been some very, very lucky (blessed?) people who get it back. Perhaps you could become one of those people. You sit home and you hope that someone would call, and that you would get it back. But then, some time passes, and you realize that it's still gone, and you realize that it's time to let go.

The first few days, you turn to your friends for support. Some tell you you'll be ok, some tell you that it was your fault and that you should have been more careful, and some tell you about their own experiences.
They give you all sorts of advice, none you haven't heard before. You then go out to find a new wallet, only to realize that you don't really want a new one. You want the old one that you lost. No, you don't want all these better-looking wallets, you want yours, because of how comfortable it is, because of all the cards and pictures and other stuff in it.

You go out and carry on without a wallet, keeping your money in your pocket instead. You throw away stuff that you would have held on to if you had your old wallet. And then, finally, you find a new wallet you like and settle in.
You then start filling your new wallet, little by little. It still doesn't feel as comfortable as the old one, but it's getting there. Then you start putting in cards and pictures and other important stuff in the wallet. Soon enough, there's as much stuff in your new wallet as the old one. And then, after some time, you feel as comfortable with your new wallet.

And then you realize that you've almost forgotten you ever had your old wallet. Sure, you still remember most of the stuff you lost on that wallet. But then again, you don't remember the feeling of hurt that you felt when you lost it.
That's because that wallet you lost is no longer your wallet. You're no longer holding on. This new wallet you're holding, it has all the important cards and pictures and stuff that you need. This is your wallet. And this time, you tell yourself, you're never losing this one.

My Friend!

I would love to start this “buzz” with the one liner…
Friends are the siblings god forgot to give us.
The line inspired me a lot that I decided to devote this long piece of article to one ma close friend some where out there in this world...!!
We all remember our friends at every stage, no matter whether they have left us because of destiny, their ego, some misunderstanding, loss of contact, or no matter what the reason is,we still remember, care, and miss them in our lives… Don’t we?
So tell me? Why do friends become so important in our life that sometimes we just can’t stop thinking about them, no matter how deeply we try to avoid them?
And the fact is that the avoidance is just TEMPORARY, but our ego stretches it like those two corners of a lake that are never destined to meet!
Okay, I accept it was my mistake to lose that particular special friend in my life
and Yes! I regret showing too much ego towards that friend,
but does this not become his responsibility to come back to me, hug me and say “Its okay, forget everything, LETS BE FRIENDS AGAIN!
I am dying to hear these words and I know I would never hear them in my life now, because this modern society has advanced in such a way that people have started giving importance to personal egos more than friendship.
Why should I message him first, why should I call him, why it’s me who always initiates the conversation? Come on guys, why can’t we just forget these stupid talks and keep the meaning of ‘friendship’ as simple as its existence?
When i just think for a second, those wonderful moments spent with him...
the moments when we spent chatting at my favorite five gardens...
those haunting roaming at night,
Police ka Danda at Girgaon Chaupaty @ 3am
"ABBEY BUS STOP....!!! @ 2am, nariman point....
N few very interesting secretes of each others life....
Full nite phone calls
talking abt r gals...
teasing that nerd in the class who always used to raise his arm at the mention of any question, bunking lectures,
challenges abt who will make out fast in class tests
then calls b4 exam nite asking KITNA hua??? Mer toh Lag Padi hai yar...kuch imp questions bata de plz...nahi toh fail ho jaunga (tho he has already done with studies)...
going for an out-of-the-town trip specially the days spent in GOA....DCH moments..!!
lying to parents just for my dear friend,
disturbing the friends during their private dates,
waiting for the clock to buzz 12am…
just to wish him Happy Birthday, trust me, the moments are endless…

And I know that these moments won’t come back.
But was it really a mistake that we are no longer friends?
Trust me, at some point or the other,
we need a friend who could tell what’s going in our mind, just by looking at our very face..
A friend who could understand that when I say SORRY, I mean that it’s not my sin idiot, it’s yours! Just accept it, I would feel better…
A friend who could understand me that when I say Goodnight, I intend to mean that don’t switch your mobile silly, I want to talk more, all night…
These are exceptions… and the one who understand these little things in life is called FRIEND!
I hope every one of you is blessed with a minimum of one such friend in your life. And if you have already found one, make sure that you don’t let the demons of ego and misunderstanding come into sweet relationship! Yes, You Are My Friend!
